At every visit, Dr. Gross and her team will listen to your concerns and goals for your oral health, review your medical history and evaluate your oral and dental condition. Following a comprehensive examination, Dr. Gross will personally review the findings with you. When you have all the information and an understanding of your current status, you will be able to make the best decisions for your oral health care plan.
A truly comprehensive dental examination includes:
- Review of medical and dental history
- Oral cancer screening
- Examination of the teeth
- Examination of the gums for any signs of gum disease
- Examination of the temporomandibular joints and muscles of the head and neck
- Examination of the bite
- X-rays that are indicated after evaluating your risks for dental problems
- Digital photographs of the teeth and face
- Blood pressure and pulse
- Diagnostic study models of the teeth
