Veneers
After thorough evaluation and examination of the patient, Dr. Gross will recommend a type of restoration called a veneer when a person is interested in improving the size, shape, and color of the teeth. Veneers are thin layers of various materials, which are bonded to the outer surfaces and edges of the teeth. Therefore, only teeth that are strong and free of extensive decay and repairs are candidates for veneers.
Crowns
After thorough evaluation and examination of the patient, Dr. Gross will recommend a crown to restore a tooth that has suffered extensive damage due to decay, wear from teeth grinding and/or a fracture. Crowns generally cover over all the surfaces of the tooth to provide support and stability to the tooth. They are also used to improve the appearance of teeth.
Several options are available for the type of materials used. Dr. Gross will evaluate the location, esthetic and functional demands of each individual patient when recommending the most appropriate treatment choice.
